- consider reliability, safety, performance, sustainability and lifecycle requirements for our products and systems from the outset of development;
- support development activities through measurable requirements, technical reviews, risk analyses, and verification and validation measures;
- ensure appropriate configuration management, change management, controlled documentation and, where required, end-to-end traceability for systems, hardware, software and mechanical components;
- apply an approved-supplier system for critical components and services; evaluate and monitor suppliers for quality, technical suitability, origin, regulatory compliance, delivery performance and counterfeit-part risks, and requalify them where needed;
- not only correct errors and nonconformities, but systematically determine their causes and take suitable action to prevent recurrence;
- base decisions, wherever possible, on measurements, tests, technical data and verifiable evidence;
- promote the technical competence, quality awareness, sense of responsibility and continuous development of our people;
- treat occupational health and safety, environmental protection, information security and product safety as integral elements of our engineering activities;
- comply with applicable legal, regulatory, contractual and technical requirements in the Federal Republic of Germany and the European Union;
- systematically assess export-control, sanctions, end-user and end-use requirements for technologies with possible civil and military use;
- perform the necessary reviews under European Union dual-use export-control rules and relevant German export-control provisions;
- prevent unauthorised technology transfer, unlawful disclosure of controlled technical data, and illegal exports or transfers;
- protect customer information, technical data, intellectual property and security-relevant information through appropriate access-control and confidentiality measures;
- develop our quality management system using a process-oriented, risk-based approach; regularly assess its effectiveness and continuously improve it.
