OHMIRIS did not begin with a product catalogue. It began with a question: how can engineering help people understand critical situations earlier and more clearly?

The OHMIRIS story is not a claim that the journey is complete. It is the account of building an engineering organisation—with technical discipline, precise communication and the ambition to earn trust through work that can be demonstrated.

THE STARTING POINT

From university into electro-optics

In 2022, while studying Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Talat Göktuğ Dere began working in the military electro-optics field. Early exposure to real observation systems showed him that technical performance matters only when it becomes dependable in a decision environment.

THE CONVICTION

Those who understand earlier can act earlier

In complex operational environments, situational awareness is not a supporting feature. Recognising and correctly interpreting a situation first creates valuable time. But seeing alone is not enough: image quality, context, reliability and a clear operator presentation must be engineered as one connected system.

An engineering mission takes shape

OHMIRIS grew from that conviction. The company brings electro-optics, electronics, embedded systems, software, image processing and system integration together around one objective: turning demanding observation challenges into disciplined, traceable engineering solutions.

THE FIRST DIRECTION

ARGUS as a development concept

ARGUS embodies this direction as an electro-optical observation concept for the lower airspace. Its path is communicated deliberately and transparently: completed design work, active simulation and validation, and the next steps toward integrated hardware are clearly distinguished.

The perspective behind OHMIRIS is grounded in practical hardware development: high-reliability PCB design, power electronics, high-speed communications, signal integrity, EMI/EMC and validation. Ongoing postgraduate study in Software Engineering extends that foundation beyond hardware.
